Hello & Welcome to the Party!

About Me

I'm a writer and storyteller based in Brooklyn, NY but was born in Ohio (hello Buckeyes - OH!).  I earned my MFA from NYU (Dramatic Writing) and have written three short films (Power of Love, CoffeeTalk, and Benachin (dir. by Chloe Zhao).  I'm currently working on a drama feature and figured it was finally time to put all my writing in one place.  To hear the story of how this blog came to be, click here!,

In my spare time I'm a chef/dancer/occasional singer and still know an old school magic trick or two.  I'm the former Executive Director of the Writers Guild Initiative, where I cut my teeth coordinating their successful writing workshops with several underserved communities and populations, including front-line nurses, death row exonerees, those currently incarcerated, asylum seekers, Latinx immigrants, and military populations among others.

What currently pays the bills, you know until this whole thing goes viral, is working for the largest healthcare union in the nation (1199SEIU) in their Communications Dept.
